Day 1 : Trichy – Velankanni (150 kms / 3 ½ hrs)
Upon your arrival in Trichy, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport before heading to Velankanni. Along the way, you will stop at Poondi Madha Basilica. Upon reaching Velankanni, you will check into your hotel and begin your pilgrimage by visiting the Basilica. Take time to explore the church, attend a mass, and engage in prayer and reflection. In the evening, unwind at Velankanni beach, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Whether you take a leisurely walk along the shore, watch the sunset, or simply relax by the sea, it will be a tranquil experience. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in Velankanni.
Day 2 : Korakka Sidhar Temple-Nagapattinam-Nagore
Following breakfast in Velankanni, proceed to explore the Korakka Sidhar Temple, dedicated to the 16th Siddhar, Korakkar. After offering prayers, visit the Nagore Dargah, a significant pilgrimage site for both Sufi Islam and Hinduism, representing harmony between the two religions. Enjoy lunch in Nagapattinam before visiting the Sikkal Sri Singaravelavar Temple, where both Shiva and Vishnu are revered, dedicated to Lord Muruga. In the evening, depart for Thanjaur for an overnight stay.
Day 3 : Brihadeeshwara Temple in Thanjavur
Following breakfast at the hotel, visit the Brihadeeshwara Temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. Also known as Periya Kovil, this Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva is a prime example of Dravidian architecture from the Chola period. Built by emperor Raja Raja Chola and completed in 1010 AD, the temple celebrated its 1000th anniversary in 2010.
Following lunch in Thanjavur, proceed to Tiruchirappalli and then be transported to the Airport or Railway Station for your next destination.
The tour concludes at this point.
